- PROAs initially tested and approved in September 1995 by Dept. of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program(FEMP) for use in government facilities
- The University of Tennessee Thermal Science Research Center(TSRC) conducted performance tests on PROATEQ in a heat pump and an A/C unit – an increase of 14.2% proven.
- National Institute of Standards and Technology report used pool-boiling performance to measure increases in heat transfer with and without PROATEQ in the refrigerant/oil mixture. PROATEQ was shown to increase heat transfer coefficient by 73% to 95%.
National Institute of Standards and Technology
- Test concluded that PROATEQ was responsible for a 73% to 95% increase in heat transfer.
- At a minimum PROATEQ delivers a 75% to 85% increase in lubricity to refrigeration oils.
- PROATEQ forms a thin monolayer on metallic surfaces; the net effect of which is to displace organic deposits while thermally conducting an increase in heat transfer.
- PROATEQ cleans systems that have suffered burnout.

PROATEQ Risk Mitigation
Two SLAs (Service Level Agreements) guarantee outstanding fiscal performance:
- 90-Day Validation Process uses Production volume data or for space cooling, an industry standard - Cooling Degree Days - to ensure reductions to the kWh usage is actually occurring
- Georgetown Utilities provides a guarantee to its clients that they will recover all investment cost during the Payback Period, typically less than 24 months, or Georgetown Utilities will reimburse the difference
These two SLAs completely mitigate all risks to potential clients. Georgetown Utilities has essentially isolated the client from any plausible risk. PROATEQ has been marketed nation-wide for ten years with not one damage claim filed against manufacturer, ENSATEQ, Inc. PROATEQ is insured by the Colony Insurance Company for $1 million per cooling system treated. Getting Started - Installation - Installed by experienced, licensed contractors familiar with your cooling systems
- PROATEQ is introduced through existing connections on your current unit
- Non-toxic and environmentally safe with no chlorinated a-olefin or chlorinated paraffin (non-halogenated)
- By law it will not effect product warranty or service level agreement (Magnusson-Moss Consumer Product Warranty Act of 1992)
- Assemble a list of make/model number/serial number/age of your HVAC and refrigerant systems – now!
- Provide 12-months of electric bills to GUE
- GUE will complete the initial analysis to provide an investment cost to treat your cooling systems
- Most installations may occur within two to three weeks
- Payment Terms: half down with agreement to treat cooling systems and half due at installation
